Each month Barb Vlack presents a new theme for virtual quilt designing. ClubEQ is a free club any EQ user can join, simply by using EQ to design a quilt. Those EQ users who join the challenge (and the fun) send in a project file. These projects are displayed together in the Albums section of our website. Participants receive all the projects submitted that month. So send in one project file, and receive many more in return! No sewing necessary!
This month is to design a Mini Quilt (close to 12″ x 9″). If you like, you can visit Ami Simm’s website and see examples of minis of this size that have been submitted for her fund raiser for Alzheimer’s research, “Priority: Alzheimer’s.”
Here is one of Barb Vlack’s example quilts and its story:
“Nick’s Butterfly Garden”
(11.50″ x 9″)
Nick is a young friend I met through Boy Scouts. His recent Eagle project was to build a garden to attract butterflies for a nursing home with an Alzheimer’s unit. I was really impressed with his thoughtfulness.
